The Start of Transmedia
Today was my first lesson with Transmedia teacher Mark Ashmore and it was an interesting one at that. Learning about how Transmedia is used and how it has evolved to this point and onward was interesting. It also was the start of a loving relationship with twitter. opening a new account of windows live messenger and creating a hopefully professional twitter account i can use to network and generally have fun.
@Tyrone_Horner if anyone wants to follow me ;)
Today was your basic day that introduced what we will be doing for Transmedia. I liked the use of twitter to gather all the information we was talking about so it was easier to search and look at, at a later time, it was simpler and a different approach to taking notes. I was still somewhat confused by Transmedia and it even questioned my own choice in my essay for unit 8. but I feel at the end of the week I’ll be so overloaded with Transmedia knowledge I’ll drowned in the sea of information.

Unit H8 Becomes Clear
Tuesday was interesting because I never really got my choice for the unit 8 essay which was basically t write about the evolution of technology in theatre but after a loving talk with Sarah and the fabulous Vanessa lending me a big old book which I think will end my life early. I now have something to source my essay on and better understand what I should write about... I’m still in the dark somewhat though but baby steps.
But if you don’t hear from me in a week’s time I’m probably being tortured by Vanessa’s book!

What a Rap Day
What can I say about today, it was very interesting? I joke, it was actually quite fun. We got in our groups of four and worked out what to do for our short video recordings. I quite liked that we actually got up and recorded stuff on Ryan’s laptop than sit around discussing ideas because that can get a bit boring and I think the best ideas come from improvisation. There is one think I got myself into though which (although was fun and challenging) was very scary and nerve racking for me.
And that was rapping!
For some reason I decided to write a rap which everyone in my group wanted to me do. I do remember thinking I’ll write a rap or song about the lost generation for myself (because I write songs all the time) but I never expected to be forced to perform it. I’m not really a rapper, I’m more of a singer although like I said last week my voice isn’t amazing and I’m nervous using my voice. But rapping in my mind is like saying words with a beat and playing a character with a bit of attitude. So, I did the rap in the end.
